Jimmy Brock Award Recipients — Each year, the Jimmy Brock memorial award is given in memory of Jimmy Brock by Bruce and
Linda Brock. The cash award of $150 is given to two senior students
from Saline County High School based on attendance, grades and citizenship. This year's award winners were LaQuisha Harris and Brent Bailey. Pictured along with these two students is Shirley Fox, recipient of the Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year Award.
Mrs. Shirley Fox received the Walmart Teacher of the Year Award at the
Saline County High School graduation celebration on Thursday, May 12th. The
award was presented by Mr. Garry Goldammer, manager of the local Super
Center. Along with the recognition, Mrs. Fox received a $50 gift
certificate, a $1000 check for Saline County High School, a Walmart T-shirt
and greeter vest as well as a bouquet of flowers. This award is student
nominiated.
