Hello Marshall Owls!!! Our DECA chapter is working on a community service project that focuses on raising money to empower and change the lives of veterans. One of the fundraisers that we are hosting is a shoe drive called "Soles for Soldiers". You can donate any type of shoe, any gender, any size, but they have to be gently worn. We are trying to collect 2,500 pairs of shoes in order to raise $1,000 to go to the Marshall American Legion and the VFW. The shoes will then be picked up by the organization, Funds2Orgs, and refurbished. The shoes are then sent overseas to help start small businesses for the less fortunate. We will put a box for the collection of shoes in each main office, if you would like. At the end of January the shoes will be picked up by DECA members and taken to the SCCC. However if you need us to pick them up sooner then you can email us. We look forward to a good turnout and please let us know if you have any questions.
