Mrs. Zank's class participated in National Read Across America Friday. They had glow stick reading with scary stories.
Mrs. Zank's class wants to say Thank You to Elementary PTO for "Popping by" and donating popcorn to every student!
We wanted to congratulate our Benton Elementary House Leaders for this month! These students demonstrated kindness and respect to earn nominations and votes to earn this privilege! We are so proud of you!

Each student will come home with their own mini flier, Monday. You will present the flier to Pizza Hut, at the time of purchase.
This is National Read Across America week.
Mrs. Zank's class had Cassie Finney come in and read a book she wrote and published. Students also asked questions about writing and inspiration and the process. Thank you Cassie for coming to spend time at Benton School!
It was another Fab-ulous Friday at Benton School! Have a great weekend, and we will see the students back Tuesday!
The students in Mrs. Blankenship's class, worked together to complete 10 challenges about fractions to complete their treasure map.
Friday, February 9th we celebrated the Super Bowl with MVC football players. They helped pass out our snacks which consisted of Nachos with cheese sauce/salsa, popcorn and a soda. The students went back to their classrooms and enjoyed making a foam finger craft. The fingers turned out great! Go Chiefs!
Friday, February 9th was National Counselor Appreciation Day. We celebrated Mr. Horton at Benton School! We are so thankful and appreciative for everything he does for us!
Congratulations to our lucky Benton Elementary students who were drawn for Cookies with the Counselor (and a little UNO) for their participation in Mental Health Week!
The regular scheduled board meeting for MPS is canceled tonight. Will be rescheduled 1/17/24 at Butterfield.
Congratulations to our Benton House Leaders for the month of December! These students have demonstrated respect and kindness and were chosen from several other students who were also nominated for the monthly award!
Congratulations to the Silver Worthy Wolves House for winning the month of December! Our Houses made these awesome "Integrity" pennants during their meetings yesterday! Check them out!
Congratulations to the Positive Blue Penguins who beat out the Red Caring Cardinals by two points to win the month of November! I also shared the yearly leader board which shows the Cardinals leading with points for the year!
There goes our Kindness Group showing gratitude to our awesome lunch ladies and Mrs. Norman who keeps that front office running smooth! We are so glad to have such awesome people people in our building!

On behalf of all the students, our Kindness Group wanted to welcome our new nurse Kindra March to the Benton family!
Today our Benton Elementary had our House Assembly where the Red Caring Cardinals where name the Champions of October. We also had six amazing students who earned House Leader for the Month of October! Houses met and continued working on improving their House crest, hand signal, chant and some even began working on character trait posters!
Last week our students at Benton Elementary learned about healthy choices during Red Ribbon week and also signed a pledge to be drug free!
