Marshall Public Schools Education Foundation, Inc. recently awarded three $500 Mini Grants to local teachers. The grants went to a teacher from each division -elementary, middle school, and high school. Winners were as follows:
Elementary – Kim Alberson and Spainhower Primary 1 st Grade Teachers –
Decodable Readers. These decodable books align to the science of reading, which
is an evidence-based approach to literacy. They will enable readers to improve
their reading skills by following a carefully sequenced progression of words that
are consistent with the phonics skill currently taught.
