Eastwood Kinders had an exciting STEAM day this morning learning about birds and making bird feeders! We made 2 different bird feeders in hopes of helping our bird friends out on these cold days. Students learned that birds eat seeds, nuts and worms among other things. Kinders used recycled products as well to make our feeders. We used milk cartons and turned them into feeders with a perch for the bird. For our second feeder, we used a recycled toilet paper roll, covered in peanut butter then rolled in bird seed. We even got to hang our feeders outside by our playground so we can keep an eye on the birds.
