WE are wild about Dr. Seuss at Eastwood. Next week, we will be celebrating the famous children's author Dr. Seuss. We have many different activities planned each day. Our older students will have the opportunity to revisit and reread their favorite Dr. Seuss books. Students are encouraged to spend their daily at home reading time reading Dr. Seuss books making those silly rhymes come alive. While our Kindergartners will need help from their parents, grandparents, or older siblings reading and introducing Dr. Seuss books to them.
Monday, students are asked to wear crazy socks in conjunction with the book, Fox in Socks.
Tuesday, students are encouraged to wear a specific color (announced in class) to support the message from the book, My Many Colored Days. We are planning special activities that night at school for students and their families to participate in. Look for notes to come home about this event.
The book, Wacky Wednesday, has had a great impact on the Eastwood Staff. We will be testing students' observation skills to see if they notice anything amiss that day at school.
Thing 1 and Thing 2, two crazy characters from the book, The Cat in the Hat will be at seen at Eastwood. We are encouraging students to dress like those two. Are you Thing 1 or Thing 2?
Finally on Friday to celebrate one of Dr. Seuss' most famous books, The Cat in the Hat, students may wear their favorite hat to school. Please help your child and Eastwood staff celebrate this famous author, Dr. Seuss.
